The Voidz Box Set
The Voidz - Internal/External
A themed vinyl box set with 3 records, a 50 page booklet, and a lyric book encased in a hand made diamond plate metal box.
My goal was to visually show the band’s experimental sound, which draws from and combines many different genres, and I did that by layering and combining physical and digital visuals which have been altered in ways that were new and experimental to me. 2021 (Conceptual)
The Box
Outer: 13" x 12.75", aluminum diamond plate sheet, black spray paint, holographic vinyl sticker
Inner: 12.75" x 12.5", foam board, poster board dividers, plastic pull tab
The outer box is made from aluminum diamond plate sheet metal that I painted black.
It has their logo on the front which I printed on a holographic vinyl sheet.
I made the logo by cutting it into a rubber block, making a print of it, and then digitally altering it to make it look glitched. I also used that technique in a lot of other places in the project.
Booklet
5.8" x 8.3", lay flat perfect bound by hand, 50 pages
I used a combination of rubber block prints, marks that I made with ink and paper, and digitally altering my own photography to give it a glitchy, lo-fi look.

Lyric Booklet

I did the same glitchy type treatment to the names of the songs. I also wanted to have more room to play around with the layout of the type, so I went with a horizontal layout for the book.

Vinyls: 4" x 4" holographic vinyl stickers
For the record sleeves, I did the rubber block printing technique again. The marks that are on the sleeves are stray marks from when I made the print of the album name.
